The place where transformation happens
Imagine a group of friends reunited comfortably around a campfire on a summer night, under a sky full of stars. The magic happens: serenity settles in, people connect authentically, conversations flow, perspectives shift, meaning deepens. Transformation begins.
This is what Kumba Camp is about: creating spaces along life's journey to pause, reflect, reconnect (with oneself, others, and what is bigger than us) and rediscover clarity, purpose, and direction before moving forward.
In some African dialects, 'Kumba' means the place of transformation, and a 'Camp' is a temporary settlement on a journey where one pauses, recharges, and gains strength. This is exactly the significance of Kumba Camp.
Igniting the inner fire
Finding alignment with the self, enrichment with others
The aurora of a New Beginning
Our world stands at a critical crossroads, urgently in need of renewal across every domain: social, ecological, economic, and spiritual. A desirable future will not emerge by chance; it demands that we reclaim agency over our shared destiny, guided by responsibility, inclusivity, and vision.
A force of renewal
Youth, as both the present and the architects of the future, carry the energy, creativity, and urgency needed to spark renewal, and from within the very tensions that constrain them, new possibilities emerge.
A place to resource
Spaces for genuine connection and inner renewal have become alarmingly scarce. We create inclusive, supportive environments that nurture confidence, resilience, and a sense of purpose, empowering each individual to define and follow their own path.
Building inner capacities
Kumba Camp fosters lasting impact by reinforcing inner capacities, the human skills, also called soft skills or life skills. Those are the hard skills of the future and the bedrock of any sustainable success.
Confidence & Empowerment
Feeling capable, heard, and ready to take initiative.
Personal Alignment
Living in harmony with one's values, purpose, and actions.
Meaningful Connections
Building strong friendships and supportive networks.
Leadership & Engagement
Gaining the tools and drive to lead and contribute to society.
Well-being
Maintaining mental, emotional, and physical balance.
Exploration & Opportunity Access
Pathways to try new things, discover interests, and access education, travel, or career possibilities.
A learning community

- Peer learning
- Guest speakers
- Practical skills
- Trusting conversations
- Free of dogma
Each of us is a single star; together we become a beautiful constellation.
At Kumba Camp, we cultivate the conditions for both individual and collective growth by fostering a vibrant and supportive learning community.
Our journey begins with self-discovery. By understanding ourselves more deeply, we become better equipped to understand, connect with, and support others. Through open, honest, and trusting conversations, we create space for wisdom to emerge organically from within the group, not imposed from above, but drawn from shared experience and mutual respect.
We value learning in all its forms. We learn from one another as peers, and the guest speakers we invite join the circle on the same level as the participants, sharing their perspective while learning from everyone present. No one sits above the conversation. Beyond reflection and dialogue, we focus on practical skills that empower us to grow personally and contribute meaningfully to our communities.
Kumba Camp is free of dogma, and we hold no political or religious agenda. We welcome people as they are, honoring our differences as sources of strength. In a world often divided, we choose to strive for unity, grounded in authenticity, curiosity, and shared purpose, and, together, to form our common humanity.

Join the journeyA credible, structured youth-development approach
This is not another personal-development bootcamp. It's a clear pedagogical frame targeting measurable inner capacities (confidence, alignment, connection, leadership, well-being and opportunity access) delivered in a safe, supervised, inclusive and non-denominational setting. Reda El Andaloussi
Founder and Host
An engineer by training, a graduate of Grenoble INP and of an executive programme for leaders at MIT Sloan, Reda began his career at KPMG and Accenture. He then spent over twenty years leading strategic transformations across varied sectors — banking, aerospace, energy, private banking, mergers and acquisitions and corporate innovation — within large international organisations.
In 2010 he founded Waves Ventures, a firm dedicated to helping individuals and organisations reinvent their vision of progress and bring their ambitions to life. In parallel, he is actively involved in the global innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystem, where he supports and advises startup founders around the world. He also teaches leadership, change management and innovation to bachelor and master students in several higher-education institutions.
His travels across more than 120 countries have profoundly shaped his understanding of human beings. Beyond the diversity of cultures, he discovered a universal reality: everywhere, women and men aspire to the same essentials — security, peace, belonging and fulfilment. A certified Wim Hof Method instructor, he also guides those who wish to build their resilience through breath, cold exposure and focus practices.
Kumba Camp was born from the meeting of his engineer's mind and his deep belief in human potential. More than a camp, it is an environment designed to help young people develop confidence, autonomy, resilience and a sense of responsibility, so as to reveal the best in themselves.
Reda designed Kumba Camp to be free of all dogma, political or religious, in complete respect of each person's sovereignty. The aim is to let emerge what needs to, grounded in the conviction that everyone is exactly where they are on their own path of life, and deserves to be seen, recognised and respected for who they are. For, in the end, when the student is ready, the teacher appears: there is nothing to force, only an intention and a presence to cultivate.
Reda is married and a father of three.
"I came to trust the human potential deeply, and to want, above all, to cultivate the conditions for the best to emerge."
